Gazette roadshow in Chippenham
 |
| Becky Oatley and mum Domenica |
Families can enjoy a whole host of activities this Saturday at the Emery Gate Shopping Centre in Chippenham.
The Gazette roadshow will be on hand with friendly mascot Gilbert and handing out special goodie bags with every paper sold.
Also the new Tesco Metro store will be providing a number of activities to help fundraise for Chippenham Hospital.
There will be a caricaturist, a face painter and children's entertainer at hand to keep the kids busy while mum and dad enjoy the new shop.
Cancer victim Becky Oatley will also be in the shopping centre from 10am to 4pm shaving heads and waxing legs to raise money for the Teenage Cancer Trust.

Well, after over 40 "news stories" posted here yesterday and only 2 today (not counting this one) I guess the reporting team will need the help of Gilbert to hand out the goodie bag to the person who buys a Guzzette !

Saw the woman having her long hair shaved.
OK - her daughter's got cancer. I understand she wants to do something to help.
However Id of given her a fiver to keep her hair on rather than shave it off and look like she did.
The woman standing next to me was of a similar opinion.
Was also really **** off at the organizers. Trying to work the croud up into a frenzy to get their hair shaved "cos it's all for charity".
Emotional blackmail. Doesnt work on me - but I'll bet some people will spend the next year growing their hair back and regretting the while thing.
Doesnt cast the charity in a good light in my eye.
