Swindon impress despite defeat

Battling Swindon Town produced an impressive display, despite going down 3-1 at home to Portsmouth tonight.

Simon Cox's penalty had put the Robins infront early on but Hermann Hreidarsson's composed finish levelled the game after 37 minutes.

The FA Cup holders then took the lead three minutes before the break through a penalty of their own when OJ Koroma was felled by Peter Brezovan and Jermaine Defoe cooly slotted home.

Town impressed after the break, with Billy Paynter missing a guilt edged chance and Portsmouth sealed the game with Danijel Supotic's injury time header.
